Holiday Jump Start
Thursday I will be teaching the Holiday Jumpstart class at Mimi's Crop Circle. Here are the cards I created for the class kit. We will be creating two halloween themed cards with Basic Gray Eerie line, two Christmas cards with the Cosmo Kricket Jolly By Golly line, and two harvest cards. Below are the Halloween and Christmas cards.
To create the cat I used a cookie cutter and stamped the image on my paper, then cut it out with my scissors and X-acto knife. I then just inked the edges. The letter stickers are white chipboard that I inked with orange and purple ink.
To create the bird on this card I used an old gift card I received and cut out the bird, then made a stencile with cardstock and traced it onto my paper. I then cut it out and used a white pen to add dimension to the birds wings and legs. Adding a button for his eye gave him another layer.
This card was very simple, but turned out beautiful. I used a white pen to highlight a few of the snowflakes.
Finally, I used a sticker from the Jolly By Golly line to add an element to this card
Enjoy!

An old project revisited
On October 17th I will be teaching this project. We will be using paper from My Minds Eye. The base for the album is an 8x8 SEI album, I used cardstock to create insert pages and binding for them. I then created mats for the album pages and decorated the cover. It took me 3+ hours to cut out the peacock! Email me if you'd like the instructions.

Bloggerfest!
One of my favoritre bloggers and papercrafts is Tresa Black over at Fabuluosly Artsy. She posted a challange for October, Bloggerfest, and I'm jumping on board. So, hop on over to her blog for more information. In the meantime, here's my latest project.
This layout was inspired by a paper piercing sketch I got from Creating Keepsakes. I just love the cake pattern. The photos were printed on my HP Photosmart printer, and the paper is from Close To My Heart's Tinkerin' Line.
Enjoy!

Another project finished....
This is my idea board. Its an ongoing project, but has been in a box since we moved into our new home in July. I finally got a chance to unpack and put my board up. What do you think?
I have a wish list that is constantly changing. Right now I am working on upgrading my Kodak Z812 IS to a Canon. Along with a few other goodies that I'd love to have for scrapping.
The rest of my board is my inspiriation board for things that I find inspring from one of my favorite photos of me and Mason walking on the beach, page ideas or titles that I've quickly jotted down, to a Sketch Challenge that I am working on.
Enjoy!

Finally Finished a few projects...
I've been working on a layout sketch/idea book for myself for a few months (over a year really) now. I finally got them into an order that makes sense to me and finished my inspiring cover. I used the June Kit Club kit from Mimi's Crop Circle and modified a layout from one of my favorite idea books, Cherish from CTMH.
Here is the cover finally in the front of my album.
I labeled my tabs in this order; Sketch Pad, Magazine Sketches (usually from CK or CK web), Single Photo, Two Photo, Three Photo, 4+ Photo, and Articles.
Finally I created a sketch pad for myself inspired by the one from CK web. I had a friend convert it to PDF for me so I can easily print it anywhere. The graph paper was a download from Microsoft Templates.
Enjoy!
